Abstract:

The science of interpreting the Qur'an is considered one of the most important and oldest Islamic sciences. It is one of the most important, because it makes the individual knowledgeable about the meanings and objectives mentioned in the Holy Qur'an as a heavenly book that is not subject to doubt. It is also one of the oldest, because this science appeared in the era of the message, and remained present in the era of the message, and remained and has remained present in all ages and times. It came in different forms and was then expressed as (methods of interpretation). Among those interpretive methods and approaches. (Narrative interpretation approach). The purpose of narrative interpretation is to clarify the meaning of the verses through the use of narratives. This interpretive era began in the era of the Companions and has always been of interest to interpreters. In this research, the components of narrative interpretation and their importance were explained. The research consisted of two sections, preceded by an introduction and followed by a conclusion, and supported by sources and references. The introduction was entitled (The Concept of Narrative Interpretation and Its Importance), then the first section entitled (The Historical Roots of Narrative Interpretation), and the second section entitled (Methods of Narrative Interpretation). In this research, the descriptive historical approach was relied on (Behar al-Anwar by Muhammad Baqir al-Majlisi, Al-Mizan fi Tafsir al-Qur'an by the scholar Muhammad Hussein Tabatabai, Al-Burhan fi Tafsir al-Qur'an by Sayyid Hashim al-Bahrani, Al-Itqan fi Ulum al-Qur'an by Jalal al-Din al-Suyuti, Majma' al-Bayan by Abu al-Fadl bin al-Hasan al-Tabarsi, Wasa'il al-Shi'a by al-Hurr al-Amili, Kitāb al-ʿAin by Al-Khalil bin Ahmed Al-Farahidi).

Finally, this research does not represent absolute perfection, nor does it represent an absolute hit. Every research is not free of errors and mistakes, and praise be to God, Lord of the Worlds.
