The study explores barriers to accessing primary healthcare in rural Haryana, focusing on infrastructure gaps, workforce shortages, and regional disparities. Recent data from the RHS report highlights significant deficiencies in healthcare infrastructure, with a 34% shortfall in Primary Health Centers (PHCs) and an 18% shortfall in Community Health Centers (CHCs). Additionally, the state faces a critical shortage of healthcare professionals, including doctors and paramedics. Geographic disparities, particularly in districts like Mewat and Panipat, further exacerbate healthcare inequities. The study underscores the need for systemic reforms to address both infrastructure and human resource deficiencies to ensure equitable access to healthcare in rural Haryana.
