The presented research has been done on “Study of social relations on educational achievement of students studying at secondary level”. The objective of the presented research is to compare the social relations on educational achievement of girls and boys studying at secondary level. To collect data for fulfilling the set objective of the research, class 10 students studying in secondary schools of Meerut urban area have been included as the population of this study and 10 schools of Meerut district urban area have been selected as sample by random method. 5 boys and 5 girls were selected from each school. Thus 100 students have been selected as judicial sample. For analysis of data, the social relationship scale developed by Dr. Pradeep Kumar, Faheem Nabi and Neha Thakur has seven dimensions- 1. Parents, siblings/cousins, friends, relatives, colleagues/classmates, teachers, strangers. And to test the academic achievement, the marks obtained in Class 10 final examination of boys and girls studying in Class 10 were taken and t-test was calculated. Based on the results obtained, the data showed that the overall social relations score was higher for girls (140.9) than that of boys (136.1), but this difference was not significant, it is partially rejected, because significant differences exist in two dimensions (siblings and teachers). While Although girls had a slightly higher average score (79.3%) compared to boys (78.5%), the difference is minimal (t = 0.75) and statistically not significant. This implies that both urban boys and girls perform equally well academically, and gender does not play a significant role in their performance.
