This study investigates the efficacy of digital storytelling (DST) interventions in promoting critical and reflective mindsets among young participants. Utilizing a mixed-methods approach, we conducted a randomized control trial (RCT) to assess changes in participants' cognitive and socio-emotional development pre- and post-intervention. Quantitative analysis revealed significant improvements in critical and reflective mindset scores among participants in the intervention group, while qualitative insights provided nuanced perspectives on their experiences and perceptions of the DST intervention. Findings underscore the transformative potential of DST in fostering analytical thinking, empathy, and social consciousness. Our study contributes to the growing body of literature on digital storytelling, highlighting its role as a tool for educational and socio-cultural interventions.
