Abstract:

Art in general and painting to be precise, was and still represents a sophisticated pattern of social consciousness capable of portraying the dialectic of conflict between man and himself and between him and the surrounding world, for this it was agreed that art has the property of documenting both victories and defeats, as well as his beliefs through the forms proposed in this period of time or that, that the treatment or writing methods used were apparently done by a pen with a tapered end, planned on Soft clay is something that is intended to be expressed approximately, that is, before the writing becomes cuneiform. Then after a period of time, a second form of the pen was invented more suitable and easier to use in writing on clay than the previous pen, which leaves appendages and side effects that distort and make writing difficult, so a pen with a triangular syllabic end and an oblique border was used, when pressed on the clay gently will give a cuneiform shape and does not leave side effects. The ancient Iraqi artist not only used cuneiform writing for the purpose of codification and documentation on clay tablets, but also employed them in other artistic productions represented by cylindrical and flat seals, statues, obelisks, votive tablets and others.
