This research aims to understand the aesthetics of Rindik music ontologically as part of traditional Balinese music in the context of modernity so that it can be seen axiologically whether efforts to modernize Rindik music so far is able to raise the awareness of the existence of this music. The research uses a qualitative methodology with a literature review approach based on 200 pieces of literature cited on Google Scholar on topics related to aesthetic ontology and Rindik music during 2014-2024. The result of this research is the existence of an ontological model of the aesthetics of Rindik music, which shows that ontologically, the aesthetics of Rindik music as traditional Balinese music in the context of modernity is preceded by an understanding of the artistic experience and artistic context so that later a person, cognitively simple and emotionally, gets a good aesthetic experience. Reflected in the feelings after listening to Rindik's music. The model developed also shows that epistemology in understanding the aesthetic ontology of Rindik music can influence a person's experience of art and aesthetics so that when they are able to explore the aesthetics of Rindik music, their experience of art and aesthetics will be enriched and so on. From this research, modernity is no longer a threat to Rindik music but can be an opportunity for additional artistic and aesthetic experiences for those who listen to it through modern facilities and infrastructure that are better known to society today.
